Florida Steak and Peppers

2 steaks in Florida (or your favorite cut)

1 large pepper from Florida, cut into thin slices

10-12 mushrooms from Florida, cut into thin slices

1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced

2-3 stalks of fresh thyme

2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary

2 tablespoons Worcester sauce

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

Sea salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste

Heat a large skillet or cast iron skillet to medium-high heat. Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper. Add butter and fresh herbs, then place the steaks directly on the herbs. Look for 2-3 minutes per side, depending on the desired readiness. Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest. In the same pan, add olive oil, chopped vegetables and Worcestershire sauce. Saute for 5 minutes or until softened. Adjust the spice, if necessary, and remove from the pan. Cut a steak against the grain and serve with warm vegetables. Serve with chimichuri sauce.
